Berserker's Fury reworked — the marquee change. It inherits the crit-true-damage passive (renamed Doom): a critical basic attack deals bonus true damage = 12% of the damage before mitigation. To pay for it, physical attack 65 → 60 and crit damage 40% → 30%. Crit heroes get a frontline punch-through they lacked.
Great Dragon Spear reverted toward its official-server identity (the 2.1.82 crit passive is gone, moved to Berserker's Fury).
New system — Mythical Honor battlefield. Certain hero balance changes apply only in high-rank matches (lowered to Master rank on advanced for testing). Five heroes get rank-exclusive tweaks: Alpha, Dyrroth, Vale, Edith, Melissa.
New 5v5 mode — Chaos Brawl (Necrokeep map, pick-a-Card global buffs).
Roaming blessings buffed: Conceal cooldown down, Favor stacks faster.
Tracked separately below: the Natalia revamp (a different revamp test track, not part of the 2.1.84 balance list) and a note on Yin.
Sourcing & caveats
⚠️ Advanced Server only. None of this is live. Numbers can — and do — shift before global release. Treat this as a preview, not a guide.
This continues the item thread from 2.1.82. In 2.1.82 the new Sunder passive (critical basics deal true damage) was bolted onto Great Dragon Spear. 2.1.84 takes that passive back off Great Dragon Spear — reverting it toward its official-server version — and moves the crit-true-damage effect onto Berserker's Fury instead. The two sources agree on this cleanly, and this time they also give the number 2.1.82 never confirmed.
Status & how this relates to 2.1.82
Kazuki explicitly tags this pass 2.1.84 ("the latest patch 2.1.84"). Elgin covers the same hero/item/system set without naming a number — so, exactly as with 2.1.82, the number is Kazuki-only but the content is two-source and lines up cleanly. There's a matchmaking test on advanced servers 57061–57095 running to ~May 25 alongside it.
The cleanest link to 2.1.82 is the item passive: 2.1.82 put the crit-true-damage Sunder passive on Great Dragon Spear (and we deliberately omitted the number because neither source said it cleanly). 2.1.84 moves that passive to Berserker's Fury and reverts Great Dragon Spear — and both sources now state the value (12% pre-mitigation). So this is a strictly later iteration.
Several heroes here are also being iterated again on top of earlier passes — Argus (touched in 2.1.78/2.1.80/2.1.82 and now reworked once more), Ruby, Masha (the Feral experiment continues), Edith. The back-and-forth is itself the signal: these numbers remain unsettled.
None of this is live.
Berserker's Fury & Great Dragon Spear — the passive swaps homes
Both sources, and the biggest change in the patch.
| Item | Change |
|---|---|
| Berserker's Fury | Inherits the crit-true-damage passive (Doom): a critical basic attack deals bonus true damage = 12% of the damage before mitigation. Cost of the buff: physical attack 65 → 60, crit damage 40% → 30%. |
| Great Dragon Spear | The 2.1.82 crit-true-damage passive is removed and reverted toward its official-server version, "keeping its original identity." |
"The newer passive effect has now been transferred over to Berserker's Fury instead… whenever your basic attack lands a critical hit it deals extra true damage equal to 12% of the damage before reduction, so crit heroes can now shred tanks much more effectively." — Kazuki
"If you remember the new passive that was tested on Great Dragon's Sphere in the previous update where critical basic attacks deal extra damage — that effect has now been moved to Berserker's Fury… Instead of gaining physical attack after landing critical hits, basic attacks that crit will now deal extra true damage based on the damage before reduction." — Elgin
Doc-vs-source note: our live-server
items.mdlists Berserker's Fury and Great Dragon Spear at their live 2.1.61 stats. The rework above is advanced-server 2.1.84 only — we are not editing the liveitems.mdrows until the in-game client confirms what actually ships. (Theitems.mdUpcoming section carries the advanced-server direction with this same caveat.)
Read: This is a cleaner home for the effect. Great Dragon Spear is a fighter/skill item; stapling a crit passive to it was awkward. Berserker's Fury is the crit item, so crit marksmen and crit fighters (Claude, Karrie, Roger, crit Lapu/Yi Sun-shin builds) now get true-damage punch-through against frontliners as part of their core buy — at the cost of some raw crit damage. If it ships near as-is, it meaningfully shifts the crit-vs-tank math. Both sources call this the headline change.
Mythical Honor battlefield — rank-specific balancing
Both sources, and a genuinely new system, not just a number tweak. Moonton can now apply some hero balance changes only in higher-rank matches without touching lower ranks — useful for heroes that are only oppressive in coordinated play. On the advanced server the threshold is temporarily lowered to Master rank for testing.
"Instead of changing a hero for everyone, Moonton can now adjust certain heroes only in this specific battlefield. That means high-rank matches can have separate balance changes without affecting low-rank gameplay too much." — Elgin
Five heroes get rank-exclusive tweaks here (both sources, with Elgin naming Vale where Kazuki's audio rendered "Wells"):
| Hero | Rank-exclusive tweak |
|---|---|
| Alpha | Ultimate cooldown significantly reduced — engages more often. |
| Dyrroth | Enhanced Skill 2 reduces even more physical defense. |
| Vale | Ultimate slow much stronger — more reliable setup. |
| Edith | Skill 2 cooldown significantly reduced. |
| Melissa | Skill 1 cooldown slightly reduced. |
Bundled with it: bush-vision optimizations for Mythical Honor+ — a hero entering a bush with no enemy nearby disappears from vision immediately; if two allies share a bush and one leaves, the one who stays lingers in vision briefly. Cleaner ambushes, riskier sloppy ones.
Read: If this graduates to live, it's a structural change to how MLBB is balanced — pro/high-elo problem heroes can be reined in without gutting them for everyone else. Watch whether the Master-rank test threshold rises before global release.
The eight hero adjustments
All eight are two-source (Kazuki names the numbers; Elgin corroborates direction and detail). These are normal (all-rank) advanced-server changes, separate from the Mythical Honor list above.
| Hero | Dir. | Change |
|---|---|---|
| Eudora | ⬆️ | Passive (Superconductor) mark 3s → 5s; Skill 1's delayed-lightning trigger now refunds half the skill's cooldown instead of a flat 1.5s — far smoother combo chaining. |
| Balmond | ⬆️ | Skill 2 physical-attack scaling 20% → 25% per hit — rewards a damage jungle build. |
| Argus | 🔀 | Removed the cooldown-reduction-on-manual-cast effect; base ult cooldown shortened instead (Kazuki: ~60–50s → ~45–35s). Trade-off: auto-trigger immortality 4s → 3s. Manual timing rewarded, auto-trigger riskier. |
| Odette | ⬆️ | Ult no longer interrupted by minor immobilize; Skill 1 slow 30% → 40%; ult no longer leaps to a target — instead she moves slightly while channeling, slowed only ~20% (was ~90%). Far more stable. |
| Masha | ⬆️ | Feral experiment continues: larger passive Wound; breaking it triggers Feral with stacking large-area Claw Strikes; Skill 2 resets each time an HP bar is depleted; higher base damage, lower physical scaling. |
| Zhuxin | ⬇️ | Flagged over-performing in ranked/pro. Skill 2 mana cost 45 → 75 (big early hit); small comp — passive mana regen from Crimson Butterflies 3% → 4%. |
| Ruby | 🔀 | Passive spell-vamp 60% → 75%; in exchange both parts of Skill 1 scale lower with physical attack. More sustain, less burst. |
| Edith | ⬆️ | Skill 2 cooldown now scales down with skill level (toward ~8s) instead of flat 10s — more dashes mid/late. (Edith also appears on the Mythical Honor list with a separate high-rank S2 cooldown cut.) |
Read: A broad re-tune rather than a content drop. Zhuxin is the only nerf and it's a meaningful early-game mana tax aimed squarely at pro/high-rank. Eudora and Odette get real consistency buffs that could nudge them up the mid-lane pecking order if they survive to live. Masha's Feral rework is still being iterated and remains the riskiest to read.
Roaming blessings & battlefield
- Conceal — cooldown reduced (Kazuki: 80s → 60s). More frequent engages, escapes, flank setups.
- Favor — movement distance to gain one stack of Force reduced (Kazuki: 2 → 1), so it stacks faster while rotating. (Both sources; transcripts render it "Dire Hit/Darhid".)
- Battlefield: "Nowhere to Hide" returns with updated wisp locations; the Fire Turtle becomes a Healing Fire Turtle with new mechanics; golden-turret tweaks. In-match UI: custom settings now apply instantly mid-match; lighter like-notifications; new fist-bump notification. Offline mode adds hero mastery, two ranked games, random maps, and instant replay.
Chaos Brawl — new 5v5 mode
Three sources (Kazuki 0d7, Elgin -1Yc7, and Elgin's dedicated ARbNga9xEgk). A new 5v5 brawl mode (distinct from the 3v3 Chaos Clash) on the advanced server: a new map themed on Necrokeep, Vexana's kingdom, plus selectable Cards / Chaos Fragments picked after reaching certain levels that grant global buffs (attack speed, cooldown reduction, and more). Faster, messier, more chaotic than regular Brawl. No confirmed official-server date.
"It's like regular Brawl but this time there's a new map and special cards you can choose from — and these cards are what make the mode crazy." — Elgin
Tracked separately — Natalia revamp & Yin
Natalia revamp (Kazuki, 2026-05-25) — a different test track
This is not part of the 2.1.84 balance list — it's a revamp test, explicitly flagged by Kazuki as unfinished and subject to change. Single source. The shape:
- Passive: true full invisibility returns (no visible outline/blur) and now persists even while taking tower damage.
- Enhanced basic on leaving stealth loses the instant blink-behind-target teleport — she attacks normally on exit instead (trading the teleport for true stealth), but still applies silence.
- Skill 1 dash now also damages a nearby enemy; Skill 2 conceals, then dashes in and silences.
- Ultimate reworked into rapid Hayabusa-style stabs whose damage spreads across nearby enemies.
"Natalia can now become completely invisible — no more visible outline, no more blurry shadow… even while taking tower hits she can still disappear like a ghost. The blink effect is completely removed." — Kazuki
Read: Trades the modern blink-assassin pattern for old-Natalia ghost pressure. Annoying for squishies who wander near bushes; weaker as a guaranteed-blink executioner. Far too early to read for the meta — it's a test build.
Yin — no new changes (recap only)
Elgin's "Fighter Lieh Is Coming?" (PqNvKOvzons, 2026-05-21) is a recap/explainer, not new patch data — and "Lieh" is Yin's fighter alter-ego, not a new hero. Everything it describes (ult un-interruptible except suppression, Skill 1 auto-lock removed, ~1.5s S1 cooldown, trimmed S1 damage) was already covered in the 2.1.80 and 2.1.82 digests. We flag it here only so the title isn't mistaken for a new-hero leak.
Aggregate read
2.1.84 is a re-tune + new-systems pass on top of 2.1.82:
- The item story finally resolves. The crit-true-damage passive that bounced onto Great Dragon Spear in 2.1.82 lands on Berserker's Fury — its natural home — with a confirmed 12% pre-mitigation value. This is the change most likely to matter at live: crit carries get anti-tank true damage in their core item.
- Rank-specific balancing (Mythical Honor) is the structural sleeper. If it ships, Moonton can nerf pro-only problem heroes without punishing soloQ. Watch the test threshold.
- Broad hero re-tune: one nerf (Zhuxin, mana-taxed), seven buffs/reshapes; Argus iterated again; Masha's Feral still in flux.
- Two modes in testing (Chaos Brawl now, plus the systems above) signal a content-heavy advanced cycle.
- Natalia revamp is a separate test track — promising ghost-assassin direction, but unfinished.
Treat every un-numbered direction as directional until written patch notes exist; no written-outlet 2.1.84 breakdown is out yet. Numbers will move.
