Suyou's powerful long-range burst and pursuit abilities make it impossible for heroes without Blinks or Charges, such as Xavier and Ixia, to escape.

[note] In-client shows 5-level scaling for this skill, unusual for an ultimate. This is documented verbatim from the client — it may be the third active skill in a non-traditional kit structure rather than a classical "ult" slot.

A-tier EXP per heroes.md (Season 40); also called out as flex-jungle in pro in the Hero Roster Additions table (heroes.md L288). Resolved 2026-05-02 — Suyou occupies an A-tier solo-rank niche where his tap-vs-hold form swap rewards micro-decision-making most laners won't punish, and his immortal-form damage reduction lets him survive jungle invades that would kill other A-tier EXP picks.

bDtzjvLbFFE(Desz, "Suyou Jungle — Tempo, Pressure, Control"), ingested 2026-04-29. Caveat: Whisper transcript looped after the skill-mechanics section; build/macro details below are from the section that transcribed cleanly.
"Suyou is one of the best junglers in the game right now and most of you are playing him completely wrong. He's not just damage — he's tempo, pressure, and control. If you play him like a basic fighter, you're going to feel useless."
His MPL pick rate is built on early-game snowballing — when played correctly, the game ends before 10 minutes.
"The biggest mistake: people charge in blindly with S1. NEVER use this ability into full-HP grouped enemies. You will instantly get bursted down."
Correct usage:
"One of the most annoying heroes against Suyou is Grock. A lot of his abilities just cancel your second skill, your first skill, your third — it gets cancelled out very easily."
Avoid blind-pick Suyou into Grock comps.
The ult is a reset / re-engage / escape button. Use it:
"I don't want you to use Suyou like spam-skills. You have to go in, deal damage, reposition, go back in. One combo is not enough to burn somebody down. Take advantage of mobility, sustain, burst."
The win pattern: engage → kite out → re-engage with refreshed cooldowns. Going all-in with skills on cooldown is how Suyou players feel "useless" — the kit demands rhythm, not flat damage output.
Ling buffed — basic attack speed up (faster jungle clear) and Skill 2 cooldown shortened + energy cost reduced. Aimed squarely at his slow/clunky early game. (This is the change people are asking about — it is advance-server only, not live.)

+12All three 8G analysts predict TL PH undefeated through the rest of Leg 1.

Skill 2 (both tap and hold versions) base damage reduced, weakening early-to-mid game burst and snowball pressure.
