Player Guide — Hajun (300+ stars, ex-pro roamer)

Honest framing

Badang is A-tier roamer in current meta. He's a stopper — picks into comps with strong dive (Yu Zhong, Aldous, Lancelot, Hayabusa, Fanny) because his S2 wall + ult-pin shut their engage cold. Counter-engage > engage; don't pick him to start fights, pick him to punish theirs.

Build & Emblem

• Spell: Flicker (S2-flicker setup is his core combo).
• Emblem: Support with Inspire → Pull Yourself Together (Flicker CDR) → focusing-mark, paired with Rapid Boots for max MS.
• Roam item: Encourage early; consider Concealer for late-game ambush.

Item path (Hajun's specific synergy stack)

The core 3-item synergy (Hajun: "Badang is the only roamer who can pull off Thunderbolt because his S1 hits proc it"):

1. Rapid Boots + Encourage.
2. Thunderbolt — Badang's S1 launches projectiles that proc Thunderbolt — most other tanks can't trigger it.
3. Dominance Ice — passive: 80 hybrid def. Stacked with Thunderbolt + Oracle = ~120 hybrid def total.
4. Oracle — CDR, bigger shields, +20 hybrid def.
5. Immortality.
6. Winter Truncheon — final slot. Tower-dive-and-freeze: ult-pin into tower → freeze with Winter Truncheon → Immortality pops if you die anyway.

When to pick Badang

• Stopper for enemy dive comps (Aldous, Lancelot, Hayabusa, Yu Zhong, Lapu-Lapu, Aamon).
• Counter-engager when your team has slow setups (Eudora, Aurora).
• Don't pick vs heavily mobile carry comps (Wanwan, Fanny) — his ult-pin requires terrain alignment that mobile heroes break.

S2-Flicker engage

The signature combo: S2 (charge knockback) + Flicker mid-cast = teleport while channeling, knock back the entire enemy line into your wall (S1). The wall pins them; ult finishes.

VOD example: Hajun second-skill-flickered Julian, knocked him into the wall, ult-pinned for shutdown despite Julian having dashes ready.

Map-pan rule (the most common skill gap)

"Pan with your index finger, use skills with your thumb. If you don't pan your map, you cannot make first-blood reads."

Hajun's first blood this VOD came from panning to bottom lane while standing in mid — saw enemy Ruby low → S2-flicker'd across half the map → first blood. Without panning, that read never happens.

Pressure-the-jungler rule

"The jungler is the most important role. If you are constantly applying pressure to the enemy jungler, that's the highest-EV thing you can do as a roamer."

Concrete: every time you're between rotations, walk through enemy jungle. Steal a green creep. Stand in their blue bush. Each interaction delays their L4 + costs respawn timer.

When to use ult vs save it

• Use ult when ulting roamer = creates 5v4 (see Akai guide). Roamer-down is worth the cooldown.
• Save ult if: target is fed and committed to a tower-dive — your Winter Truncheon + ult timing is your survival.
• Don't ult when target has Purify or just-used escape.

Snowball-keeping discipline

"When you're winning, don't let them breathe. Constantly fight, don't let them farm in peace."

This is the same rule as Hajun's Chou guide: when ahead, pressure their jungle with every cooldown — even if you don't get a kill, you're costing them gold.

Counter notes

• Purify voids your ult-pin. Track enemy carry's Purify cooldown before committing.
• Diggie ult cleanses the pin too.
• Mobility stacking (Lancelot + Fanny + Beatrix) = your S2 wall hits empty air.
