Minotaur is strong against heroes that rely on chaining skills or attacks, like Paquito and Julian because he can interrupt their combos with his CC.

"I still think Minotaur is A-tier. Despite the hype he isn't the best for solo rank — he's very team dependent. There are much better options."
Pick him only if your comp gives him follow-up burst. He has weak early game and gets bullied by mid prio.
"Minotaur is one of those roamers where your build matters based on whether you're winning or losing."
Always first: Dominance Ice + Flask of Oasis.
If winning (need to siege/tower-dive): 3. Immortality — you'll tower-dive often, S1 → flicker-ult → S1 again leaves no escape. Immortality lets your team peel-tank for you. 4. Oracle — boost your self-heal.
If losing (need to tank, can't dive): 3. Antique Cuirass vs phys-skill comps. 4. Radiant Armor vs sustained magic. 5. Immortality later.
"You shouldn't engage first. Wait for opponents to gather and a fight to start, THEN ulti-flicker."
Concrete rule: only ult-engage when:
Don't ult one isolated target — the AOE is wasted.
Minotaur is fragile pre-Dominance. Concrete early game:
The win condition: let teammates engage first, then flicker-ult into clumped fight. VOD example: Yu Zhong dives, Hajun watches, opponents collapse on Yu Zhong, Hajun flickers in and ults all 3 — wipes the fight.
"Once you've secured Lord, GET OUT. Especially if you stole it from a losing position. Use the Lord to push towers — that's the win condition. Don't waste it by dying."
Common solo rank mistake: stealing Lord then continuing to fight = wasting the steal.
